Review of WEC-Sim development and applications

چکیده
WEC-Sim (Wave Energy Converter Simulator) is an open-source code for simulating wave energy converters, which has been actively developed and applied to simulate a wide variety of device archetypes, become popular tool since its release. This paper reviewed the development efforts usage WEC-Sim. The publications considered in this study have broken down into six topic areas, namely feature development, experimental validation, modeling, control PTO grid novel applications, even includes some non-wave applications. review also attempted recognize contributions broader effort, meaning not only internal team but external from academia researchers technology developers around world. growing trend applications demonstrated acceptance code, how used certain area highlights potential future needs.
